SHARE Wednesdays is a co-op of vendors that teach various classes for pre K-12 in the same convenient place at Grace Baptist School.

SHARE Wednesday spring session will begin January 10th.

3 sessions:

16 weeks – January 10th – February 28th

12 weeks – February 7th-May 2nd

8 weeks – March 7th-May 2nd (No class on March 28th)

All class below are subject to change without notice and can be canceled if the classes do not have at east 4 kids signed up.  

If you are with a charter school, forward the confirmation e-mail to SHARE at heatheranderson@sharehomeschool.org to prepare the P.O./voucher. SHARE must receive the P.O./voucher before classes begin. Parents are responsible for any fees not covered by their charter school.

*A waiver must be signed upon arrival on January 10th before children admitted to classrooms.

Sewing levels 1 & 2

Ages 8 and up –  $175.00/1.5 hours a week/8 or 16 week sessions

This class is for Boys and Girls ages 8 and up.  We will be working with different types of fabrics, different notions, and they will work at their own pace. Each child will be provided their own “sewing kit” with the items they need for class. They will take them home at the duration of the class. I will be providing all items necessary for the class: tools, thread, fabric, and sewing machines.

How to Start Your Own Home Based Business

with Food Photography and Home-Based Business Strategies – This class taught by a local business owner “King Alfred’s Cakes”

Writing  Workshop- Janie Abshire

11:00-12:30

$45 per student/per workshop 11:00-12:30/Min 4 students All ages

*Students can choose the following:

(1) 2-week workshop $45

(4) 2-week workshops  $180 for 8 weeks

Each class will open with group activities and discussion after which students will then be expected to work independently on their own compositions. In this way, each student having varying skills and aptitudes will be able to work at their own level. Each week we will cover a different structure of writing as well as stylistic techniques. On most occasions the students will need to complete their work at home and may need to gather research material either from home, the library, or the internet.

Materials needed: 3-ring binder (1/2″ is ok. no spiral notebooks please), 5 tab dividers, writing utensils, lined notebook paper. optional: dictionary and thesaurus.

12:30-1:00 Lunch/Study Hall $35.00

This will be an available option for parents as long as the students are taking classes morning and afternoon.

Global Eats Cooking Class   

1:00-2:30 & 11:00-12:00

All Ages   $240.00/1 or 1.5 hours a week sessions

In this course your students will discover a new country and cuisine each week. They will build culinary skills by chopping, whisking while using math, science and reading comprehension skills. Students will receive recipe cards, skill cards, and a course certificate. 4 kids minimum to proceed with class

How to Draw Superheroes

All Ages $300 / 1.5 hours/12 week sessions

This class is to showcase drawing both male and female superheroes using techniques professional comic book artists and animators utilize to create superheroes. This is essentially a class on drawing anatomy. We will be drawing from both life and imagination, learning superhero poses, costume design, character design and some color theory. Materials will be supplied

Beginning Sign Language 

1:00-2:30

Ages 8 and up  $200.00 for 12 weeks/1.5 hours a week/8 week sessions

Beginning American Sign Language is an introduction to American Sign Language (ASL)  Includes basic grammar, vocabulary, fingerspelling, greetings, Deaf history, and culture.

DRAMA with Becca

All ages – $250/12 weeks $170/8 weeks

9:30-11:00

A 12 week drama course with emphasis on dramatic expression in a positive and fun environment. Students will participate in improvisation exercises to develop skills and confidence in drama. The exercises will focus on cooperation, creative thinking, self-expression, body language, and ennunciation and storytelling. The course will culminate in a production showcasing students’ learned skills, creative expression and dramatic abilities.
