9:30-11:00

Sewing levels 1   Ages 8 and up –  $175.00/1.5 hours a week

This class is for Boys and Girls ages 8 and up.  We will be working with different types of fabrics, different notions, and they will work at their own pace. Each child will be provided their own “sewing kit” with the items they need for class. They will take them home at the duration of the class. I will be providing all items necessary for the class: tools, thread, fabric, and sewing machines.

CPR/First Aide/Babysitting  7th grade-Adult –  $70.00/1.5 hour a week/8 weeks

First Aid / CPR / AED certification:  This is a Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED with epi – pen training for the care of anaphylaxis.  Upon completion the certification is valid for 2 years.  This course is taught in 2 parts online and classroom.  The classroom portion is to check for understanding and clarification and practicing skills.

Woodworking for the 21st Century Ages 8 and up – $190/1.5 hours a week/8 weeks

Ever browsed through Pinterest and seen projects that you would love to have but don’t have the skills to make them. I will teach your children that it’s easy, fun, and super achievable! This class will be a self-esteem builder. Carpentry is easy when you just follow the steps.  We will be using power tools, hand tools, paints and stains to create a variety of projects. Balance boards, scooters, garden items, wooden journals, and many decorative items. No prior skills required.

Must bring/wear safety glasses

How to Draw Superheroes Level 1  Grades K-3 $215 / 1.5 hours/8 weeks

This class is to showcase drawing both male and female superheroes using techniques professional comic book artists and animators utilize to create superheroes. This is essentially a class on drawing anatomy. We will be drawing from both life and imagination, learning superhero poses, costume design, character design and some color theory. Materials will be supplied

Art Workshop     $225.00 a lesson/1.5 hours/8 weeks

4 weeks drawing techniques and 4 weeks painting techniques. Drawing from life, learning color theory, studio time to become familiar with art concepts.

Writing with Style  4th-6th Grade   $200.00/1.5 hours a week/8 weeks

Each class will open with group activities and discussion after which students will then be expected to work independently on their own compositions. In this way, each student having varying skills and aptitudes will be able to work at their own level. Each week we will cover a different structure of writing (narrative, descriptive, informative) as well as stylistic techniques. On most occasions the students will need to complete their work at home and may need to gather research material either from home, the library, or the internet.

Materials needed: 3-ring binder (1/2″ is ok. no spiral notebooks please), 5 tab dividers, writing utensils, lined notebook paper. optional: dictionary and thesaurus.

PE 6th-12th- Outside/Gym  $150.00/1.5 hour a week/8 weeks

My philosophy is to expose your child to many sports (formal and made up) by focusing on sportsmanship, teamwork and never giving up. I will never ask your child to do something I know they can’t achieve.  I’m interested in their success not their failure.  They will often be given the opportunity to demonstrate leadership.

This will be an available option for parents as long as the students are taking classes morning and afternoon.

1:00-2:30

Global Eats Cooking Class   Ages 8-12   $140.00/1.5 hours a week/8 weeks

In this course your students will discover a new country and cuisine each week. They will build culinary skills by chopping, whisking while using math, science and reading comprehension skills. Students will receive recipe cards, skill cards, and a course certificate. 4 kids minimum to proceed with class

 Creative Crochet for Beginners to Advanced  Grades 3-Adult $120/ 1.5 hour a week

Description: Everyone will have the chance to learn the art of crochet and work on simple to advanced level projects.

Crochet is not just a fun hobby. Crochet and knitting have so many benefits, such as: Improvement of fine motor coordination, reading, math, comprehension, critical thinking and problem-solving. It also boosts confidence and fosters a sense of accomplishment. It can alleviate symptoms of anxiety, stress and depression. And finally, it sharpens memory.

As you can see, when your child learns to crochet they will enhance many areas of their life. Minimum students 4

Extreme Science  Ages 8 and up – $150.00/1.5 hours/8 weeks

Have you seen those videos online with extreme science experiments, but don’t have the skills or the time to do them? Want your kids to experience real life amazing science? Then this is the class for your child. We will be exploring Physics with many different flying objects…Chemistry and the awesomeness of reactions….Electricity with items you use every day….Biology and how living things process food.
